Are you interested in researching the experiences of Afghans coming to live in the UK? Do you have good qualitative research skills with some experience of applied research? If so, this role may be for you.
As a Community Researcher you’ll be interested in other people’s stories and experiences, and you’ll be keen to grasp opportunities to share these stories with people who make decisions about how support services are delivered and funded.
It’s not about lobbying or advocacy work on behalf of anyone else – we’re a politically neutral organisation. In the research team, we present our research findings in a professional, objective way as part of Migration Yorkshire’s role to work for the best outcomes of migration for everyone in the community.

This is a governance and leadership role, working in close partnership with our Director to shape the strategic direction of Bradford City of Sanctuary at a critical time locally and nationally. You will:
- Lead the board in setting and overseeing BCoS’s strategic direction.
- Ensure the board is effective, diverse and reflects lived experience in decision-making.
- Provide support, line management and annual appraisal of the Director.
- Ensure compliance with charity, financial and employment regulations.
- Foster positive relationships between trustees and staff.
- Support trustee recruitment, induction and development.
