Administration and Communications Officer - Bradford City Of Sanctuary

Salary: NJC Band 6-8 (£23,893 – £24,702 pro rata)

Hours: 15 hrs/week

As Office Administrator, you’ll ensure the smooth and accountable running of ASSIST offices and administrative functions. You’ll be committed to ensuring the organisation’s administration systems and processes are robust, and you’ll take pride in ensuring that the ASSIST Leadership Team, staff and volunteers are supported in the delivery of the charity’s vital work.


Trustee position - St Augustine’s Centre

St Augustine's is a specialist charity working with people seeking asylum, and new refugees, who are rebuilding their lives in Calderdale. They help with advice on immigration and asylum and offer one-to-one support with welfare, housing, health, and access to wider services.

Do you have fundraising, immigration law or people management experience? Or lived experience of the asylum process? St Augustine's  are looking for three/four new trustees, specifically for those with expertise in one or more areas:

  • Immigration specialist
  • Fundraising
  • ‘Human Resources’ / managing people
  • Lived experience of the asylum process


Migration Co-ordinator - Calderdale Council

Salary: £35,745 - £38,223 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Calderdale has long been a place of welcome to people seeking a new life of safety in the UK and has been part of the national asylum dispersal scheme since its inception. Their Neighbourhoods & Cohesion Team want to ensure that those who are vulnerable and seeking sanctuary can access the support that is available for them from the Council as well as their partners in the health, voluntary and faith sectors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of partnership and multi-agency working and a good understanding of the asylum and immigration systems in the UK. You will have experience of working with new migrants including those seeking asylum, familiarity with the challenges that they face and a commitment to diversity and the valued contribution that new migrants bring to their borough.


Learning Manager - St Augustine’s Centre

Salary: £14.86 per hour which is equivalent to a full-time annual salary of £29,057

Hours: 30 hours (4 days) a week to start in April 2024 or as soon after as possible.

St Augustine's are seeking a Learning Manager who understands education, ideally with experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages. The role primarily involves leading our English and wider educational provision. Additional key responsibilities include line management responsibility for our Volunteers and Befriending Co-ordinator, as well as volunteer English tutors and room hosts.
