Yorkshire Integration Festival Fringe 2023

Alongside the Yorkshire Integration Festival 2023, we held our 2023 Online Fringe.  The festival fringe included a five-day-long programme of online events including workshops, seminars and 'cook-alongs' focussed around topics of migration and integration.

The programme included:

  • Pathways to Prosperity: A participatory workshop on refugee employment
  • Welcoming Ukrainians since 1945
  • Welcoming new arrivals: Cafe Connect and migrants from Hong Kong
  • Homeward Bound: how housing affects refugees in the UK
  • ESOL Lunchtime Showcase: Trauma informed ESOL practice
  • Care for carers: tips for professionals supporting unaccompanied children
  • Regional Refugee Integration Forum: The steps you can take
  • Family reunion as part of refugee integration
  • Adapting existing services to support new migrant communities
  • Yorkshire views on migration: opinion poll 2023 results
  • Applying for jobs in the NHS and Local Authorities
  • Trauma management for front line staff or volunteers supporting refugees
  • An introduction to community sponsorship
  • Safe accommodation and safeguarding children in care
  • Learning to cook delicious Ukrainian dishes
