Hongkongers in Britain [HKB] is a community organisation based in London but working across the UK. They provide range of services, including mental peer support and offloading service via 1-2-1 chat sessions on webchat, telephone, text or in-person

Barnardo’s Boloh Helpline

‘The Boloh Helpline’ offers emotional support and six free sessions of psychotherapy delivered by qualified Barnardo’s therapists. These sessions can take place remotely via telephone or online at a time that works for you.

Renaisi runs online workshops designed for BNO visa holders seeking employment. The workshops cover three areas: preparing for work in the UK, applying for a job and interview skills.

Kirklees Citizens Advice and Law Centre

Kirklees Citizens Advice and Law Centre runs the Hong Kong Settlement Scheme project, which provides bilingual [English and Cantonese] advice service for BNO visa holders residing in Yorkshire and Humber.

They provide advice on:

  • access to education, housing, healthcare, employment and more
  • legal advice, including immigration advice

Social activities, peer support, informal English learning opportunities

Sheffield Chinese Christian Church [SCCC]

SCCC helps new arrivals in Sheffield and surrounding areas to settle into life in the UK. Help and activities are open to all Hongkongers, including individuals who are not part of the congregation.

FaithAction

Faith Action is a faith-based community organisation running ‘Café Connect’ projects to welcome Hongkongers with a space to practice English [informally], learn about local facilities and services, and befriending.
