We Suffer in Silence: Exploring experiences of antisocial behaviour for people who have moved to the UK
We know instinctively when we see or experience antisocial behaviour, even though it’s not easy to define the term.
In ‘We Suffer in Silence’, Dr Kirsty Cameron at Leeds Beckett University worked with Migration Yorkshire to examine how antisocial behaviour is experienced by people with a migrant background now living in Yorkshire and Humber. 28 people took part in the research of whom 20 had migrated to the UK, alongside professionals working with migrant groups. Most of the participants had moved to find safety in this country.
Take a look in more depth:
The research was supported by a small grant from the Centre for Applied Social Research within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Leeds Beckett University.
