Who are migrants

At Migration Yorkshire, we use the term 'migrants' to refer to people with a wide range of different types of status, including:

  • refugees
  • asylum seekers
  • refused asylum seekers
  • trafficked persons
  • undocumented migrants
  • migrant workers
  • family migrants
  • international students
