Introduction to Migration Training

Do you know the difference between a refugee, asylum seeker, and economic migrant? Do you want to know more about who lives in your communities, their rights, entitlements and how you can support them? Our core training session is Introduction to Migration which provides professionals the tools they need to enhance their understanding of changing communities.
Aims and Outcomes:
- Recognise different types of migrant groups and different routes of entry to the UK.
- Interpret the patterns of migration in the local area and the region.
- Identify some of the key current issues relating to migration.
- Understand some of the challenges that can affect migrants and communities and how organisations may best respond.
