Dave Brown
Head of Migration Yorkshire
Dave manages the Migration Yorkshire team. He is the lead officer on migration, strategically and operationally, in the Yorkshire and Humber region for Local Authorities and other key partners. Within our region, he reports into the Migration Yorkshire Board, the Strategic Migration Group and Local Authority Chief Executives.
Nationally, he represents the region and leads negotiations with national Government departments.
Dinah Beckett
Regional Asylum & Refugee Integration Manager
Dinah is the operational manager for the AMIF-funded Refugee Integration Y&H. This project includes a number of areas of work to promote integration, including participation, employer engagement, rolling-out a regional integration strategy and developing an integration forum, and improving UASC support through ‘Welcoming Young Refugees’.
She also manages the regional resettlement programme, is responsible for Migration Yorkshire’s work around Unaccompanied Asylum seeking children and oversees the engagement and partnerships work we deliver as part of the Strategic Migration Partnership grant from the Home Office, which helps us ensure the region can deal with, and benefit from, migration.
Pip Tyler
Policy and Research Manager
Pip coordinates much of Migration Yorkshire’s work on policy, research and statistics. This involves working with people across the wider MY team to produce, for example, the weekly policy bulletin and regular statistics reports and dashboards (local asylum dispersal data, Local Migration Profiles and Newcomer briefings).
She is also responsible for the research and statistics elements of the RIYH project.
Pip has recently managed two recent projects: Communities up Close and the ESOL for Refugees.
Tanya Roberts
Finance, Evidence and Projects Manager
Tanya is the project manager for the Refugee Integration Service (RIS) and Refugee Integration Yorkshire and Humber (RIYH), which are both part-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)
She is the main point of contact for all finance and evidence issues for Migration Yorkshire and manages all grant claims for projects, including Connecting Opportunities, RIS, RIYH, the regional resettlement programme and SMP co-ordination, with the help of the finance and evidence team.
Vanessa Lendzionowski
Project Manager – Connecting Opportunities
Vanessa project manages the Connecting Opportunities (CO) project. She supports and motivates nine specialist voluntary sector delivery partners across the Leeds City Region to provide a range of high-quality support to new migrants. She works closely with other members of the CO project team to ensure partnership, quality, service-user engagement, referrals, performance and marketing of the project is undertaken successfully and meets funders’ requirements.
Adam Atack
Refugee Integration Service Manager
Adam manages the refugee integration service which is an advice and support service for newly granted refugees for up to six months. The service covers the areas of Bradford, Barnsley, Calderdale, Doncaster, Hull, Kirklees, North East Lincolnshire, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield and Wakefield. The service also works with Solidaritech, a charitable company that works to ensure migrants get digital access and with Sheffield Hallam University’s Refugee Family Reunion Service.
He also manages the Asylum and Refugee Engagement Service and liaise with other providers, local authorities and the Home Office in regard to all matters pertaining to asylum and refugee settlement.
