659 new arrivals in Scarborough came from 23 countries.

A higher proportion of men arrived: 55% men compared with 45% women.

Where are people arriving from?

85% of all arrivals were from the EU, the same as in 2018.

What’s changing locally?

Arrivals to Scarborough increased in 2019:

  • 15% more people arrived compared to 2018.
  • Arrivals from Romania changed the most: 49 more people than in 2018.
  • Across the UK, immigration rose by 20%, while in Yorkshire and Humber it rose by 18%.
