Privacy notice - foster care enquiries

Leeds Council is data controller of the information you provide when enquiring to the Welcoming Young Refugees project about being a foster carer, because Migration Yorkshire is based in the council.

The council will collect and process this information with your consent, you have a right at any time to withdraw this consent. You can also request that all information held on you to be deleted. Your details will be held in accordance with data protection legislation. Under this legislation, we may share information with other organisations where we are required by law to do so. This includes where disclosure is necessary to enable the Council or another organisation to exercise its statutory functions (for example, the Department for Work and Pensions or the Police). All the personal data you provide in order to enquire will be retained for 3 years and after this point, it will be securely destroyed.
