Connecting Opportunities - integration and employment service for new migrants

Connecting Opportunities [CO] helps with: developing the skills needed to get work in the UK; improving English; feeling part of the community; increasing confidence and well-being. This service operates in:

  • West Yorkshire
  • part of North Yorkshire [Craven, Harrogate, Selby and York]


Refugee integration service

This service provides individual support for new refugees for up to 6 months, to help them learn how to access services and integrate with their communities.

The Refugee Integration Service is currently available in:

  • Barnsley
  • Bradford
  • Calderdale
  • Doncaster
  • Hull
  • Kirklees
  • Leeds
  • North East Lincolnshire
  • Rotherham
  • Sheffield
  • Wakefield

Refugee Integration Yorkshire and Humber

Refugee Integration Yorkshire and Humber [RIYH] supports new refugees, communities and public services across the region to work together.
 

Resettlement: the Children and Families Wellbeing Project

Each refugee family that has come to the UK under the Syrian Resettlement Programme receives support for five years. The Children and Families Wellbeing Project addresses the mental health and wellbeing needs of resettled refugee families in Yorkshire and Humber.

Welcoming Young Refugees

Welcoming Young Refugees [WYR] is a regional project that raises awareness of opportunities to foster unaccompanied asylum seeking children and supports local authority employees to provide high quality support to the young asylum seekers and refugees in their care.
