Description
OutlineThe Persian Association is a voluntary organisation run by a voluntary management committee.
Our aims are:
- To bring together people from Iran, who are living in Leeds, to meet and share concerns and give help and assistance.
- To organise cultural, educational, health and social opportunities, classes and activities to meet the needs of all community members and to promote and preserve Iranian culture through the organisation of social events.
- To help and assist refugees and asylum seekers from Iran in getting the right advice and help in areas such as housing, vouchers and immigration matters with solicitors.
- To act in an advisory capacity with the local authority and other organisations involved in providing services for the Persian Association.
- To recruit, train and empower volunteers.
Activities
- drop-in session on Saturdays 12:30 till 3:00pm
- Farsi language class for children - Saturdays 12:30 till 3:00pm
The Persian Association is only at the Centre on Saturdays from 12:30 till 3:00pm. Please make an appointment before you come, by phoning 07875 141 113.
