Refugee Integration and Employment Service - Yorkshire and Humber
Archive page - the Refugee Integration and Employment Service [RIES] ended on 30 September 2011, as the UK Border Agency [UKBA] decided to no longer fund this service.
RIES was a scheme to help new refugees become better integrated members of British society, and in particular to help them access employment.
RIES began in Yorkshire and Humber in October 2008, and 2224 refugees had taken up its offer of support by the end of September 2011. RIES was delivered in this region by a number of local councils and voluntary sector organisations, with the central contract being held and managed by Migration Yorkshire.
