Children and Young People Subgroup [CYP]

This subgroup of the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Migration Group [SMG] is being restructured to create a more strategic group that focuses on a small number of key issues around children and migration. It is currently in discussions with Government Office, and Directors of Children’s Services to clarify how this can fit with other regional structures. We are also working with the UK Border Agency to establish a practitioner network which will allow frontline staff to share expertise and learning with one another.  CYP meetings have been suspended until the new arrangements are in place.
